Spaces

Collaborate with explicit membership and clear deletion boundaries.

Create and invite

A space groups collaborative memos and its members. Its creator becomes the first space administrator. Invite an existing active user; membership is established when the invitation is accepted. Review outstanding invitations and remove those that are no longer needed. Membership roles determine which space operations a person may perform.

Placement and visibility

A memo's space field records placement; SPACE visibility restricts ordinary reading to active members of that space. A tag or memo relation does not add someone to the space. Check the selected destination and visibility when creating or moving a note, especially when it contains attachments or comments.

Delete with care

Deleting a space permanently deletes the memos currently placed in it. It does not follow memo relations to delete other notes. Export or back up anything you need first, verify the space identity, and read the confirmation. Leaving, removing a member and deleting the space have different consequences.

A two-account invitation walkthrough

You need two active instance accounts. Sign in as the intended space creator and open Settings → Spaces. Use a disposable space for the first rehearsal. Space roles are User and Admin; start with User when administration is unnecessary.

  • Create a space with a recognizable name, then open its management view.
  • Invite the other active account and choose its role. Check the username, not just a similar display name.
  • In the recipient’s Settings → Spaces, locate the pending invitation and select Accept.
  • Return to the creator’s member list and confirm the account is now a member rather than only a pending invitation.
  • Create a non-sensitive memo placed in that space with SPACE visibility. Confirm both members can open it.

Check a failed invitation or role change

If the account cannot be invited, confirm it exists and is active, then check whether it is already a member or has a pending invitation. An invitation does not itself grant membership. Before the last space administrator leaves or is demoted, assign another suitable administrator; the interface identifies the last-admin case. Revoking an invitation, removing a member and deleting the space are distinct actions. Use the smallest action that matches your intent.
