Telegram and community clients
Assess an external client before granting it access to your instance.
No bundled bot
This Rust distribution does not include a configured Telegram bot in its server. A third-party bot or mobile client may use REST, but its support for upstream versions is not proof that it works with this fork. Compare the client's expected authentication, resource names and endpoints with the current API, then test on disposable notes.
Data leaves the instance
A bot may pass messages, attachments and account tokens through its own server or a messaging provider. Review those recipients and retention practices before enabling it. Use a dedicated integration credential where available, keep permissions narrow, and revoke access when you stop using the client. This guide does not endorse a particular bot or claim third-party compatibility tests have run.
