A capture and review workflow

Turn scattered notes into a manageable next-action list.

Capture first

Use a tag such as #inbox for unprocessed thoughts. During a regular review, decide whether each note is reference material, an actionable next step or something to discard. This tag is a personal convention and is unrelated to the application's notification Inbox.

Make actions concrete

Rewrite vague intentions into a small visible action, add a useful project tag, and use a View for the collection you revisit most. Markdown task lists can track completion inside a note. These conventions do not create a scheduler, reminders or automatic task assignment; use another tool when a commitment needs those features.

A worked capture-to-completion example

Capture “Improve the project docs #inbox”. During review, edit it to “Write one tested installation example #work” and add an unfinished Markdown checkbox for that action. Remove #inbox because the item has been processed; keeping both tags would still leave it in your capture queue. Save a View titled “Next work actions” using the expression below. After writing the example, mark the checkbox complete and reload the View; the item should no longer match. Keep reference text in the memo rather than deleting it just to clear a list.
